Since 2005 the Planned Giving Design Center and its hosting organizations have sponsored the development of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning (formerly the National Committee on Planned Giving) library on the Ingenta content system. Times have changed and so has technology. In an effort to streamline the search for information important to gift planners, we have built a "browser" on the PGDC that indexes this valuable and historic content.
Finding the information you want from the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning’s vast volume of articles and proceedings has never been easier. Hundreds of articles and conference papers from the year 2000 forward are just a few clicks away.
Here is how easily you can now search for relevant content from the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning archive:
First, we’ve added a new item entitled PPP (NCPG) Articles and Proceedings which appears in the By Type menu on the left-hand column of each PGDC page:
Click through and you will find a new Partnership for Philanthropic Planning browser that enables you to search by journal or conference volume, author, PPP syllabus, or content (keywords):
For example, would you like to find everything PPP has published on the topic of artwork? You can search several ways: Just type "artwork" in the Content Search and you’ll find every document in the database containing that word. As an alternative, click on "Syllabus" and a drop-down list will appear where you can find "Artwork and Collectibles."
Here are just two of the search results:
And just so you know where the content originated, notice the breadcrumb just above the title of each document. This will tell you when and where the item originated along with the PPP Syllabus Code. For example, the two documents above originated from the 2003 and 2005 Conference Proceedings.
If an item catches your eye and you would like to read the full text, simply click on the heading and you will be taken to a page where the entire document has been reproduced. In addition, you can download the document in PDF format for easier reading and printing:
The Partnership for Philanthropic Planning is a true partner with gift planners and advisers from all disciplines and the Planned Giving Design Center is pleased to be bringing you this comprehensive library.
Now, just find PPP (NCPG) Articles and Proceedings in the By Type menu, click through and enjoy!
